Package 1 : Itinery for the trip: 4Day /3Nights of Adventures.

Day 1

-          Depart  Miri for Bario. Flight duration is 50 minutes.

-          Upon arrival in Bario transport will be ready to transfer passengers to

 Robert’s brother-in-law Coffee house where we will have breakfast.

-          Check in at Robert‘s Bario Highland Country Cottage. Upon arrival, all quests will be greeted by Kelabit ladies dressed in traditional dress. All welcome guests will be offered a drink of pineapple juice (Traditional way)

-          Lunch at Robert’s Cottage.

-          At 1.00 pm proceed tour of Bario starting with Bario longhouse, Arur Dalan Longhouse, Ulung Palang Longouse etc.

-          Visit the Bario Museum which is situated on top of a small hill. Also from there you can see whole of Bario from a birdeye’s view.

-          Visit Balan’s cafe & test the Bario Vanila ( fresh fruit ie if the season is on )

-          Retire to Robert’s Cottage for dinner and rest.

Day 2

-          Breakfast at Robert’s Cottage.

-          After  breakfast  Visit  Pa’ Umor’s Longhouse. Then later we will visit the famous Bario salt spring. If we are lucky someone will be there making salt. Its one hour walk from the Longhouse but on very good path.

-          Vist the Penan handicraft shop to see anything of interest.

-           Coffee break at Dickson’s cafe.

-          Return to  Robert’s Cottage for Lunch.

Day 3.

-          Breakfast at Robert’s Cottage.

-          Visit the small Penan settlement which is about 20 minutes walk from Arur Dalan’s Longhouse.

-          Visit the Penghulu at Pa’ Ramapuh’s Longhouse. Also one can see all the rice field & the rice planted is called “ Adan Rice” . Few years back Bario  Adan bagged a reputation for having  the best rice in the world as compared to Thailand , Vietnam , India , etc . It won due to its high content of carbohydrate. Now a gantang(3.1KG) of adan rice in Bario will cost Rm25  whereas in town it will be sold for Rm 35 per gantang.

-          Visit Pa’ukat Longhouse.

-          Lunch at Dickson’s coffee shop.

-          Visit Mustapha pineapple garden which is very famous in SarawaK.

-          If time permits we will visit Balan fish farm to enable those who love fishing to give a shot at it. All catches  will be on the guest’s account.

-          Return to Robert’s Cottage .

-          Dinner  followed by traditional cultural show performed by Bario cultural group.

-          Debriefing during the stay in Bario.

Day 4.

-          Breakfast at Robert’s Cottage and proceed to Bario Airport afterwards .

-          Depart Bario to Miri.

-          Sayonara & Goodbye.

Note:

1.       Cost for the whole whole package  - Rm 700 per head  & that excludes the Miri/bario/Miri  tickets as this will be borne by the guests themselves.

2.       Please inform the organiser (Robert) at least two month in advance for confirmation to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are properly sorted out as it takes time & effort to get things organised in Bario.

3.       If possible book the organiser’s ticket with the group to ensure that none is left behind as flight availabilty may be limited. (Guaranteed refund by Robert Chee in Bario ).
